Certified Hernia Center
Surgeries are performed at Franziskus Spital Margareten – the only hernia center of excellence in Vienna certified by the German Hernia Society (DHG). With over 1,200 hernia operations per year, it is one of the high-volume centers in Europe.
Teaching & Development
I train other hernia surgeons.
At Franziskus Spital, I regularly train surgeons from across the German-speaking region in workshops – such as on Re-TAPP, eMILOS, and component separation.
Together with plastic surgeon Dr. Wenzel Czedik-Eysenberg, I developed the FRANCIS technique – it combines the treatment of diastasis recti and umbilical hernias after childbirth with an abdominoplasty. I present this at international congresses such as the European Hernia Society.
In-house Development
The FRANCIS Technique
Functional and cosmetic in one operation.
